Lunch & Learn

Cobb County Water System provides free ecological education programs for classrooms, community groups, and businesses within Cobb County. These hands-on programs teach community members about the sources and impacts of water pollution and what individuals can do to protect rivers, lakes, and streams. We also coordinate community service projects, facilitate teacher workshops, and create education resources for checkout and distribution.

Designed to fit in during the typical lunchtime (12-12:45pm), don't forget to bring your lunch if you are in person.

Cobb County Water Quality Lab

These workshops were developed in response to common questions and concerns about various topics related to water quality, pollution prevention, and ecological issues. These workshops provide a brief overview (with a chance for questions and answers) for Cobb residents to better understand where our water comes from and how to protect this important resource.March 31: Indoor Leak Detection - HybridCelebrate Fix a Leak Week by learning how to find and fix leaks at home. You&#x27;ll learn how to check your toilet for leaks, common places you may find leaks, and how to find those sneaky leaks. You&#x27;ll also learn about rebates and resources offered to Cobb County Water System customers.May 26: Drought Tolerant Plants and Gardens - Hybrid Join Rob Trawick, UGA’s Agriculture &amp; Natural Resource Agent for Cobb County, and learn the importance of planting native plants to survive flash droughts and our summer weather.
