At an organizational level, goals govern initiatives, programs, and resource allocation. The top-down hierarchy dictates a goal at an employee’s level, too, only more detailed, hands-down, and less abstract.
This one-hour workshop analyzes how to create goals, notably SMART goals. It highlights what an employee seeks to accomplish for the fiscal year with definitive timeframes to monitor and report out a goal’s progress to management.
Employees have an opportunity to discuss how they engage with their co-workers and gain ideas on how they can be more connected. The more strategically aligned the employee’s goals to the organizational outcomes, the greater the employee’s career potential. Thus, employees should set strategically aligned SMART goals to improve their career!
