Difficult conversations are inevitable. If you label a conversation “difficult,” you’re more likely to feel nervous and upset about it beforehand. Changing our mindset and preparing for the conversation in a more positive way, tends to make the conversation seem like a normal exchange.
During this session participants will be able to:
- Explain what a difficult conversation is.
- Discuss the factors that affect the skills and confidence required to discuss. workplace conversations that are considered difficult issues.
- Discuss how finding the right words in the moment confrontation can make the difference in being calm and being angry.
- Recognize why resolving workplace issues quickly and informally is important to everyone.
