CSULB Basic Needs Program

Hosted lunch for CSULB faculty/staff  to learn about basic needs and resources on campus to support food/housing insecure students.

<p>A National Hunger and Homelessness Week Event at CSULB: J﻿oin two basic needs experts at CSULB, Dr. Rashida Crutchfield, Associate Professor in the School of Social Work and Danielle Muñoz, Director of the Basic Needs Program for a hosted lunch and learn about college student basic needs. Dr. Crutchfield and Director Muñoz will provide current information on basic needs in higher education such as research and findings about college student food and housing insecurity, current resources offered at CSULB to help students, and tips on supporting students who are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. More than ever, students are reporting food insecurity and homelessness or risk of homelessness to their trusted faculty or staff members at Cal State Long Beach; this event is offered to faculty and staff to feel better prepared to help students through these issues and offer accurate resources and referrals for support. </p><p>If you are needing a reasonable accommodation based on a disability or medical restriction to access this program, please contact Staff HR (StaffHR-Accommodations@csulb.edu) for employees as soon as possible so we can assist you prior to the program.</p>
