Luke Stutzman is a singer-songwriter originally from Fontanelle, Iowa. He is the 2023 IMA Acoustic Artist of the Year and released his debut album January of this year. The album was recorded at the Hilltop Studios in Nashville, TN and has been gaining traction on the ReverbNation Americana Charts reaching #4 regionally. His strong storytelling and catchy choruses keep his fans coming back for more.

His band "The Heavies"

Drummer John Withers (Granger, IA) who has been playing drums since he was a teenager and has been perfecting his craft over the past 30 years. Withers has played percussion for several rock bands in the Des Moines area and is one of the most versatile drummers in the area.

Lead guitarist Joe Kiplinger (Des Moines, IA) is an amazing talent and well versed guitar player whose chops put him at the top of the list for best guitarist in the state. Kiplinger is an inventive and fiery guitar player whose improvisational skills are second to none.

Bass player Jim Withers (Ames, IA) brings many years of knowledge and experience to the Heavies, his melodic baselines and syncopated rhythms keeps the music tight and holds the band steady.

Fiddle player Joshua Rector (Rex)(Altoona, IA) is a talented violin/fiddle player who is skilled writer and improviser. Rex is also a skilled background vocalist/harmonizer which will add color and depth to the band.
