Who is Chief Chris Guerrero?
Chris Guerrero started with the Kennewick Police Department in 1996. He's served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, SWAT Team Member, Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) Detective, Crimes Against Persons Detective, Patrol Sergeant, FBI Safe Streets Task Force Sergeant, and SWAT Team leaders.
He was promoted to Assistant Chief in July of 2021, and was selected as the new Chief in March 2022.
2024-2025 KPD Strategic Plan
In 2023, Chief Guerrero worked with his team on updating the mission of the KPD. It now reads, "The mission of the Kennewick Police Department is to provide professional police service with integrity, courage and commitment."
As chief, he wants to emphasise those values of integrity, courage and committment.
