Racing registration is required for all boats intending to race. Cruiser registration is free, but helps us to gauge fleet size. Social event wristbands (not included in registration) provide access to social events throughout the week! Each skipper racing in LOWISA be a member of a certified sailing club or organization in the United States or Canada (US Sailing, Sail Manitoba, etc.). If you are not presently a member of a certified sailing club / organization or do not presently have liability insurance, you have the option to purchase an annual membership to Sail Manitoba for $30 CAD which provides the insurance coverage required for participating in this event (available below Social Event wristbands). Sail Manitoba offers a $5 million liability insurance and an individual accident insurance at sanctioned events through the Sport Manitoba insurance. This membership is also available for crew interested in joining Sail Manitoba. Please have verification of your insurance coverage or sailing club membership with you at the LOWISA regatta. In addition, each participating boat must be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $500,000 per event or the equivalent thereof.All entrants shall carry onboard the safety equipment as defined in the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions.
