It’s history, culture and socio-economic dynamics form the cityscape which can be decoded with a keen eye for observation. Photographers Lim Sokchanlina and Sansitny Ruth both use image-making to delve into those complexities on their search for insight and clarity. For this event they have selected pairs of images to show side-by-side that seem to characterize Phnom Penh not by what is in the images but by what is absent. It is this absence that motivates each photographer to continually look for what is “Phnom Penh.”Join Lim Sokchanlina and Sansitny Ruth as they examine their diptychs of Phnom Penh. With very distinctive photographic styles they will discuss the differences in process, composition and subject while also identifying their similarities. The audience will be invited to join the conversation with a q&amp;a session following their presentation.
