Join the growing St. Louis data community as we celebrate the Regional Data Alliance’s 5th birthday & next phase of Data for Social Impact!

Over the past five years, the St. Louis Regional Data Alliance has worked to build data infrastructure and support strong data actors to improve people’s lives. During that time, the Social Policy Institute at Washington University in St. Louis formed Data for Social Impact (DSI), an initiative that builds data capacity and connection among social sector organizations working to increase impact for and with the communities they serve. Together, RDA and DSI are working to build a community of practice around how to cultivate collaborative, equitable data practices in the region.

Come celebrate the RDA’s 5th birthday with a happy hour, food, and lively conversation with social sector folks who share these goals! This is an opportunity to connect with RDA and DSI colleagues in a fun and relaxing environment, learn about the DSI-STL Community of Practice to be launched this year, and be a part of the visioning process for what comes next.

The event will take place from 4-6, and will include plenty of time for networking. There will be a short program of about 20 minutes, with brief remarks from Adam Pearson (Department of Human Services), Karishma Furtado (Urban Institute and Forward Through Ferguson), and Paul Sorenson (Community Innovation and Action Center at UMSL). Please join us!

The Data for Social Impact initiative is a collaboration between the Social Policy Institute at Washington University in St. Louis, Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, the St. Louis Regional Data Alliance, and data.org
