The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to hop on the eco-buggy with Education Specialist Tommy Nordmann and Environmental Specialist Holly Giles and learn about some of the common and uncommon native species of pine trees in Volusia County. We’ll also discuss the history of logging in our area and how the county and our partners are restoring the pine flatwoods habitat.

** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.

ACTIVITY: The tour will take place on a hay-ride type, covered trailer with benches. There will be some easy, short walks as well.

RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.

TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.

AGES: All ages are welcome.

ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors

WHAT TO BRING: water, sunscreen, and bug spray

FACILITIES: There will be a port-a-potty but no running water.
