About this event

  • 7 hours

The 2nd Annual Long-term Survivors Summit powered by Gilead Sciences raises awareness about the needs & journeys of thrivers. This forum offers survivors, thrivers & caregivers space to connect & be heard.

The theme for this year’s summit is “Quality of Life: Generation to Generation.” We are excited to have Dr. Virginia Caine as the keynote speaker during lunch. The agenda will be filled with workshops and panels with opportunities for intergenerational discussion for all persons living with HIV, Non-Medical Case Managers, Public Health Professionals, and the Community to learn about topics important to THRIVERS.

SUMMIT TOPICS

  • Aging with HIV
  • Healthy relationships
  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV Modernization Movement
  • Women & Girls Issues
  • Mindfulness & Spirituality

This summit is hosted by The Phoenix Group, a bi-monthly support group for the HIV and aging community. This group celebrates the resiliency and strength of people living with HIV while providing a safe space for authentic discussions. The group is a program hosted by BU Wellness Network.
