Studio 7 was created as an option for helping to improve the health and quality of life for people living with epilepsy and other disabilities and those who care for them. Oftentimes, these individuals cannot express themselves in traditional ways. Art provides an opportunity to bridge these gaps by providing various avenues of expression - including emotional, social and physical. It is our hope that through Studio 7, individuals will become more confident, self-aware and develop a belief that there is more to life than just their diagnosis, while simultaneously learning new skills, meeting new friends and having a spectacular day.
This free program is designed for individuals with epilepsy and other disabilities of all ages. We encourage entire families to attend together. Each session will be held at the studio of a local artist and usually consist of three to four classes. Individuals and families are encouraged to attend multiple sessions to help build relationships with others traveling similar journeys. Upon completion of the program, artists will have their artwork professionally photographed and displayed at future foundation events.
