Lonesome Frontier

Lonesome Frontier is a new project featuring Danielle Howle, Barb Carbon, and Josh Roberts, three accomplished songwriters who have each gained notoriety fronting acclaimed indie/folk rock bands.

This new collective affords the listener an opportunity to hear new and lesser-known compositions performed alongside old favorites offered up in a beautifully stripped-down and accessible way. The intimate songwriter's round experience affords the artists time to tell the stories behind the songs and allows their intricate and powerful lyrics to shine through.

Danielle is a critically acclaimed songwriter and live performer. She has toured with such diverse acts as Avett Brothers, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Indigo Girls, to name a few. Howle has performed and toured consistently for 30 years in many circles in the US and UK.

Carbon has toured extensively, frequented regional festivals like Suwannee Roots Revival and Sweetwater 420 Fest, and has opened for and collaborated with multiple national acts including Donna the Buffalo, Tank and the Bangas, Old Crow Medicine Show, and String Cheese Incident.

Josh is best known as the frontman/songwriter for the roots rock band Josh Roberts and the Hinges. After 20 years of touring with his band, Josh scores films, produces quality acts, and plays guitar for unique artists.
