About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour
  • ALL AGES
  • No venue parking

Join us and the team from Local Knowledge Roastery on Sunday 10th August at 9:00am as we sample their current coffee selection sourced from some of the worlds top coffee producers!

Whether you've cupped hundreds of coffees before, or have never heard the term before everyone is welcome along! (Think of it like the coffee version of Wine tasting)

We'll guide you through the process from start to finish, explaining everything that's happening and why it's important. And you'll get to enjoy a wide selection of coffee beans.

Each ticket will insure your slot in the coffee cupping, as well as one bag of retail coffee (Of equal monitary value £RRP) to take home after the event.

Coffee Cupping is how both specialty coffee shops and roasterys decide which coffee's they'd like to buy in. We grind coursely and brew the grounds in cups, we then skim the coffee grounds from the top to reveal the coffee, and then using special spoons will sip each coffee in turn. Brewing in this way helps to cultivate a very authentic flavour profile of each bean leaving little space for it to hide, and yes this is where we get our flavour notes from!
