Itinerant Literate Books is an independent bookstore in the Park Circle neighborhood of North Charleston, South Carolina.We're obsessed with bringing novel experiences, exciting reads, and fantastic service to all. Visit us for a curated variety of fiction, nonfiction, children's books, young adult books, graphic novels, comic books, cookbooks, and gift items, plus regular book signings, story time, open mic night, and more!

<p>Join us for a local author meet &amp; greet, featuring local and regional writers of all different genres—from poetry to local history, novels to children&#x27;s literature! At each event, we host a small group of authors from the area who are eager to meet you, their future reader, and tell you about their books. </p><h2>Featured Authors</h2><h3>RJ Lambert | <em>Mind Lit in Neon </em>(Poetry)</h3><p>R.J. Lambert (he, him, his) is a queer writer, editor, and teacher based in Charleston, South Carolina. Surviving the 1999 Columbine High School shootings fostered his interest in the healing power of writing in response to individual and communal traumas, which he has explored through scholarly research, presentations, and poetry.  He was a James A. Michener Poetry Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, where he co-founded and co-edited the journal Bat City Review. His poems have since appeared widely in journals and anthologies. He recently won the 2021 Patricia Cleary Miller Award for Poetry from New Letters and was nominated for a 2021 Puschart Prize by The Worcester Review.  This is his debut poetry collection.  R.J. teaches science writing and health communication at the Medical University of South Carolina. Find him online at rj-lambert.com.</p><h3>A﻿licia Hunter | <em>Among My Tangled Thoughts</em> (Poetry)</h3><p>Among My Tangled Thoughts is a flow of consciousness poetry book detailing the emotional twists and turns of love, loss, trauma, and mental illness. Alicia addresses the reality of having a parent affected by addiction during the height of the opiate epidemic and the impact of growing up in poverty. Being the child of a single mother within a patriarchal society she faced the brunt of socioeconomic oppressive forces. Through this book they hope they can help others to heal through words and bring awareness to the issues she and so many others faced.</p><h3>B﻿rian Livingston | <em>The Habits of Squirrels</em> (Contemporary Fiction)</h3><p>Brian Livingston is the author of THE HABITS OF SQUIRRELS. He presently lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife, Olivia, and black lab, Maddux.</p><h3>Justin and S﻿ebastian Estes | <em>Ad Absurdum: Quandary of Power</em> (Alternate History)</h3><p>Based in Charleston, South Carolina, brothers Justin and Sebastian Estes combine their expertise in finance and hospitality management to bring their debut novel <em>Ad Absurdum: Quandary of Power</em> to life. Justin runs Financial Bestes, a strategic marketing firm for banks and wealth managers. When he isn’t working, you’ll find him playing guitar, swinging kettlebells, or dancing on the beach with friends. Sebastian is in luxury wine sales and has worked in bars, hotels, and restaurants across the globe for the past seven years.  On his days off, he enjoys riding his bike and smoking Honduran cigars.</p><h3>S﻿ean Keefer | <em>The Code</em> (Thriller)</h3><p>Sean Keefer grew up in rural South Carolina and started writing while a student at the University of South Carolina. His first book, The Trust, was published in 2011 and the follow-up, The Soliciter, was published in 2017. These two books were the start of the Noah Parks mystery series, and the latest installment, The Code, was published in 2022. He likes to create and have found an outlet for his ideas in both writing and music.</p>
