Saturday, 26 April 10.30am to 12pm at Bracknell Library
Join Sarah Harper, author of Ella's Ghost, for a thought-provoking and uplifting discussion about her debut novel. This gripping psychological thriller delves into the themes of domestic abuse against a backdrop of the supernatural, offering a compelling story of resilience and hope.
Sarah, who balances her writing career with a civilian staff role in custody detention for the Metropolitan Police, will share her inspiring journey to becoming an author. She will read excerpts from her book and discuss the motivation behind her work, shining a light on the important conversation around domestic abuse — while also reminding us of the strength found in survival and new beginnings.
The event aims to raise awareness and encourage open conversations about domestic abuse. Following the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences in a safe and supportive space over refreshments. Representatives from Berkshire Women’s Aid (BWA) and Kaleidoscopic will be available to provide guidance on available resources and support services.
