<h3>Each month at the Shop at MATTER, we're hosting a lineup of six amazing local authors to read their poetry and prose, meet new (and existing) fans, and sign their books &amp; zines.</h3>Join us as we celebrate the range of amazing literary talents Colorado has to offer. From fiction, to poetry, to journalism, to zine creators, our showcase will feature a little something for every type of reader. Who knows, maybe you'll discover your new favorite writer!<h4>June's Featured Authors:</h4>Cassondra Windwalker, Jason Masino, Krista Lee, Kehinde Winful, Charity Yoro, and Paula Lehman-Ewing. ⁠ We'll start at 2:00, with the first three authors presenting one at a time onstage. Then, those three will join on stage to field questions, and the audience will have the opportunity to buy their book/zine, and the authors will sign together. After a brief intermission, the final three authors will have their moment and follow the same process. Can't make it this month? Never fear! Showcases will be held monthly on the 3rd Sunday of each month. ACCESSIBILITYParking: Metered and free street parking is available (parallel parking) on Market St. Paid lots are available within a few blocks. The closest one is on 21st and Market St.Entrance Access: Our front door is at street level and manually operated, accessible for wheelchairs and mobility aids. The rest of the block has sidewalks raised by five steps; however, the bike lane offers a step-free route down the block with minimal car traffic.Restrooms: All-gender restrooms. Just like at home.Communication: All staff on site speak English. There is one Spanish speaking staff member. We welcome communication via translation apps (Google Translate is available).
