Mary Elizabeth Ames penned the story Homo transformans: The Origin and Nature of the Species, which was awarded Finalist in the Fantasy: Epic/High Fantasy category of the 2019 American Fiction Awards. Ms. Ames also penned H’Ilgraith, awarded the Feathered Quill Winner in Fantasy 2022 and the Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal in Fantasy 2021. Her latest book, Raephela, was published in December 2021. Ms. Ames underpins her stories with science to bring a sense of realism to them.
