  • MHW climber Caleb Robinson and filmmaker Trevor Riley were drawn to one another’s passion for seeing and documenting Black climbers. Together, they went to Red Rock with big ambitions and came home with something else. Their film, DSCVRY, is about the things you don’t find at the top of any boulder.

Climb Malawi

  • An inspiring short film that delves into the heart of the vibrant climbing community in Malawi. It documents a project by The Global Climbing Initiative through which Genevive Walker, Mario Stanley, and Liz Ndindi traveled to Malawi to mentor local climbing leaders. Through intimate interviews and breathtaking footage of mountainous landscapes, "Climb Malawi" showcases the incredible potential of climbing in this southeast African country and the transformative power of mentorship.

+``1 surprise film from amazing local NYC filmmakers & climbers!!

Who is the Amy Stone Foundation and what do they do?

The Amy Stone Foundation is dedicated to improving accessibility and fostering diversity within rock climbing through a variety of programming for those less served and less represented within our sport. We want to remove financial barriers to the sport and ensure that everyone knows that they belong in this community.

We work with the YMCA of Newark, NJ to introduce climbing to families living in on-site shelter housing and at-risk youth enrolled in their programs through leaders that look like them. We also host routesetting clinics for underrepresented routesetters across the tri-state area to learn skills and make connections that will further their careers and lead to a future with diverse industry leaders. All of these programs are offered free of charge to participants, and we have lots of exciting plans for these and more related programming!! Follow us to instagram (@amy_stone_foundation) to stay up to date on our latest work!
