FEMA Region 10 and Oregon Department of Emergency Management are hosting a Local and Tribal Mitigation Planning Training Session. This is a two-day hybrid training; you may attend in person in Bend, Oregon, or via Zoom. The training will cover the basics of mitigation planning for local and tribal communities. You will learn about the planning process, how to assess risks, and how to develop and carry out strong mitigation strategies. This course reflects guidance and resources related to FEMA’s 2017 Tribal Mitigation Plan Review Guide and the 2022 Local Mitigation Planning Policy Guide.

This workshop is for local and tribal governments, emergency managers, planners, local floodplain administrators, and other partners. Communities may wish to attend if they are or will be updating a local, tribal or multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan.

Registration is required. In-person information and virtual log-in information will be emailed to you separately once you register.
