About this event

We are witnessing and watching the resurgence of apartheid politics, fascism, and environmental racism ripple across our shared (and very segregated) world. As we raise our voices and votes against antiblack racism, antiqueer violence, anti-muslim erasure, and antisemetism, we must continue to upRoot our knowledge and knowings through decolonized learning.

This season, I am hosting Sunday antiracist history lessons and liberation workshops through my community-powered Patreon (www.patreon.com/antiracistliberation). From recovering our local histories and freedom struggles to connecting the fugitive logics of the Underground Railroad to our own everyday liberation work and from disrupting environmental racism in our neighborhoods to divesting from the settler-colonial projects of our empire-building governments, there is much and more for us to discuss, disrupt, divest, and dream into existence this year! For those of you are fellow bookworms, head read along with us as we explore Barbara and Karen Fields Racecraft: The Soul of Inequality in American Life (January - February) along with Rebecca Hall's Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts and Ahed Tamimi and Dena Takruri's They Called Me a Lioness: A Palestinian Girl's Fight for Freedom (March-May).

Don't forget to join our community over on Patreon for free access to these programs (and playbacks) and exclusive podcasts , projects-in-progress, and ponderings from your friendly neighborhood historian.

Help keep these public programs accessible by sharing this eventbrite, following me on social media, and bringing your friends and relatives along so we can all upRoot and make good trouble together~
