Join us for the Living Archives Exhibit Launch Event at Marion Diehl Recreation Center!

The COVID-19 pandemic was unexpected and impacted the world in many ways. The Living Archives project spent the last three years capturing this historical moment through the eyes of those deeply impacted, with a specific focus on communities of color and those who are too rarely represented in traditional archives. Over the last three years, we have collected over 340+ stories.

We invite you to come and join us for a special event highlighting these stories through our traveling exhibit. The Living Archives traveling exhibit will feature diverse voices, photographs, and videos contributed by Mecklenburg community leaders and members. This special launch event will include a presentation sharing more about the project, special guest speakers sharing their personal experiences with COVID, space to connect to others and local appetizers from a Charlotte-based minority-owned business.

A scavenger hunt activity is also available for participants wanting to enter a chance to receive a $40 gift card to Food Lion or Living Archives swag.
