Description

It’s a new year and a new Congress… What The Health is going to happen in 2019?
Come join us in D.C.* and find out.

What’s going to happen regarding the Affordable Care Act and current legal challenges? Will Capitol Hill take action regarding health care coverage – pre-existing conditions, new health insurance products and surprise medical bills? Is congressional action to curb the high cost of prescription drugs likely? And how could these and other health policy issues help shape the presidential candidate field in 2020?

Join Kaiser Health News’ Julie Rovner and her panel of top health policy reporters featuring:

  • Anna Edney, health policy and FDA reporter, Bloomberg

  • Joanne Kenen, health care editor, Politico

  • Kimberly Leonard, senior healthcare writer, Washington Examiner

The American Enterprise Institute’s Thomas Miller will join the panel as a special guest. As an AEI resident fellow, he specializes in health policy, health care litigation and the political economy of health care reform.

Registration, coffee and dessert begin at 12:30 p.m.

The event – in the Foundation’s Washington, D.C. office – is open to the public. Feel free to share this with your contacts and colleagues.

*If you are not in the D.C. area, the podcast will be available for you as always, on iTunes, Stitcher or Google Play. You can also find it online at KHN.org.
