Join us for free live music from Ping Spells and the Essential Band on July 20th, 2024.

Ping Spells hails from the west side of Detroit. Attending Northwestern high school and studying under Dr. Brazeal Dennard. After attending U of M for 2 1/2 years, she moved to L.A. After being immersed in the recording and live performance scene, she returned to Detroit and has been performing in many musical environments. She and her husband, Bassist Freeman Spells, Jr. have an Adult Contemporary group and record, as well. Ping's voice has been lent to many of Detroit's finest musicians. Ping is an Actor's Equity Association artist, as well as Stage and theater.
