Edinburgh Eastern SNP Constituency Association

The goal of this event is to inform Scotland’s residents born in other countries and local, of their voting rights and why they should vote.

Everyone is welcome to this event, regardless of their political affiliations and place of birth. You don’t have to be a SNP member to participate.The goal of this event is to give Scotland’s residents, no matter their origin, the information they need to be able to vote with confidence in May and in the future. This event is open to everyone, even if it is more focused on foreign nationals. Scotland’s biggest Asset it’s their people. Your vote is important. It matters. We are all Scots, some are New Scots. No other country in the world calls their immigrants in a warmer, incredibly clear welcome way. By attending this event you will learn: •	Who can vote •	Why that is so important•	How to registerYou are invited to submit questions, in advance, by emailing votingrights2021@gmail.com, or that can also be done on the day. By submitting in advance, you will be helping facilitate a smoother event. The event will be hosted by Councillor Kate Campbell ( <a href="https://democracy.edinburgh.gov.uk/mgUserInfo.aspx?UID=138" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cllr Kate Campbell</a> ) and the speaker will be Elena Whitham SNP MSP Convener of Social Justice and Social Security Committee in the Scottish Parliament (<a href="https://www.parliament.scot/msps/current-and-previous-msps/elena-whitham" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Elena Whitham | Scottish Parliament Website</a>)
