Join us for a live composting webinar! This webinar will be hosted by San Bernardino County Stormwater and the Solana Center.

Composting is a great way to turn food scraps into nutrient-rich soil. This webinar will help break down the steps for easy composting in your backyard or patio. Topics that will be covered:- What is composting, and why do it?- Essential ingredients needed to get started- Which items are compostable, and which should be avoided- Assembling and maintaining your compost pileThere will be a Q&amp;A portion at the end of the webinar so you can get your questions answered by Solana Center&#x27;s composting expert, Kelsea. Details:The webinar will be hosted via Zoom. Sign up through Eventbrite to receive the link for Saturday, March 13, at 10 am. The compost bin will be available for pickup in San Bernardino, CA. Vermiculture pails will be available for pick in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. About our Partners:<a href="http://solanacenter.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Solana Center for Environmental Innovation</a> is a nonprofit organization that focuses on Zero Waste, composting, and water conservation. Their mission is to mobilize the local community through innovative outreach in order to address the San Diego region’s most pressing environmental issues and enact impactful change.<a href="http://cms.sbcounty.gov/dpw/SolidWasteManagement/aspx" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">San Bernardino County Department of Public Works - Solid Waste Division</a> provides outreach and education to unincorporated residents and businesses regarding recycling/composting solid waste in order to divert waste from being landfilled in order to save natural resources and reduce greenhouse gas emission. Their staff is available to answer questions regarding what can be recycled/composted and how to recycle/compost via phone at (909)386-8701 or email at SWMDRecycling@dpw.sbcounty.gov.
