Looking for a literary social event where you can meet new people and talk about books you love or books on your TBR pile? Or maybe you're not in a book club and just want to get together with other local readers to talk about favorite authors? On Wednesday, May 22, from 6pm to 8pm, local book nerds will host an event for adults to jump start their own summer reading. Join us at the Speakeasy in the Gamble Mill in Bellefonte.
Kate, from GWG Books, will curate a collection of gently used books for attendees to select from, and all participants will be entered into raffles for new summer reading books including:
- Kristen Hannah – The Women
- Emily Henry – Funny Story
- Abby Jimemez –Just for the Summer
- Rebecca Yarros–Fourth Wing (with handmade mug)
Drinks will be available for you to purchase at the bar in The Republic. There will be light refreshments and snacks (essential at any good book discussion). Bring a friend or come by yourself--because if you're a reader, we've already got something to talk about!
