About this event

  • 1 hour

Reading and other language skills go together. To become a successful reader, a child must understand language structure, know when and how to use it, and have an adequate vocabulary. This training will introduce ways to build a child’s understanding of language structure and how to use it through wordless picture books, circular stories, shoebox stories, and one-picture stories.

Objectives:

• Participants will define picture books, circular stories, shoebox stories, and one picture stories.

• Participants will describe ways to expand a child’s language skills using wordless picture books, circular stories, shoebox stories, and one-picture stories.
