Class description:

Be ready to get out of your head and into your body with this creative Vinyasa-style power flow! Breaking away from traditional sequencing, this class is designed to flow with the beat of the music where you will fluidly move through creative transitions, strength drills, (and even a little dance moves if the music calls for it)! This class is open to all levels by offering modifications for beginners & options to advance into arm balances, binds or inversions if it is a part of your practice! Expect a vibe-y playlist with a little hip hop + be ready to unleash your inner goddess and feel empowered

About Alexis:

Alexis is a lover of all movement and music! She grew up in competitive gymnastics and dance and discovered her love of teaching movement and body mechanics in 2013. She is a 200hr RYT, certified personal trainer and barre instructor that loves bringing strength drills, fun and empowerment through education into her classes. She takes her playlists seriously ;) to create a trance vibe to help you get out of your mind, into your body and hopefully learn something new about your body while you’re at it.

Miranda Fuller (2nd/5th Sunday)

Rise and shine with Miranda to get your body moving and your appetite ready for the most amazing brunch EVER! You will be guided through a 60-minute Vinyasa yoga flow, synchronizing breath with movement as you challenge your strength, flexibility, balance, and mind. This class is open to all levels and guarantees to get your blood pumping and to make you sweat, as you flow to a fun and unique playlist.

Miranda encourages students to listen to their bodies, have fun, take as many breaks as needed, and above all “be a friend to yourself” when trying anything new or challenging. Your yoga practice is unique to you, just like your fingerprints and handwriting, which is a beautiful thing! Yoga is not only a wonderful workout but also has the power to bring joy, healing, and peace. It unites and encourages harmony between the mind and body. What better way to start your Sunday?

About Miranda: Miranda’s yoga journey began in 2001 at Unity Woods Yoga Center in Washington, D.C., a studio focused on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, modern yoga’s most influential teacher. Through this study, she learned that yoga is for any and every body. After a brief period away from practicing, a friend invited her to a Vinyasa class in 2014 and she was immediately hooked.

Miranda enjoys the discipline and foundation from her Iyengar practice, but also the freedom and creativity that Vinyasa offers. She received her 200 RYT Vinyasa certificate from Rising Wolf Yoga School and teaches at Hot Yoga of East Nashville. In addition, Miranda is a professional calligrapher, engraver, art teacher, graphic designer, and fine artist. This variety keeps her energized and fuels her creativity. A lifelong student, she continues to learn from the most inspiring calligraphers, artists, and yogis around the world.

Courtney G (3rd Sunday )

I have been a yoga student for over 6 years, falling in love with the practice further and further every year since I first stepped on the mat. In early 2019, I decided to deepen my practice and understanding by completing Teacher Training and have been teaching since.

My style is a 60 minute Vinyasa Flow to up beat, often hip-hop music that blends the stretching and strenghting of yoga asanas with dynamic movements and 3-5 minutes of solid ab work!

Abby Murdock (sub)

Class Description: Start your Sunday morning off right with an energizing 60-minute Vinyasa-style flow. This class will incorporate breathing techniques, moments of mindfulness, strength building movements and postures that will increase flexibility and mobility. All alongside a carefully curated playlist, with music ranging from calming natural rhythms to hip hop to classic rock. Something for everyone! This class is open to all levels, offering modifications for beginners and opportunities for advanced practitioners to take the flow a step further with arm balances, binds, backbends. You'll step off of your mat feeling strong, uplifted, connected and ready to brunch!

About: Abby is a veg-food lovin', mimosa-drinking, graphic designer/illustrator by day and yogi all the time. She loves creativity in all forms, including coming up with wonderfully-sequenced flows paired alongside carefully-curated playlists. Abby fell in love with yoga while she was in college studying as an art major. After classes were over for the day, she would put on her favorite music and freeflow for hours on end, where she found a true connection between her mind and body. Abby has her 200-hr RYT certification in Vinyasa/Power Flow Yoga.

Abbie / Coatney Johnson (sub) (4th Sunday )

After practicing for 10 years Abbie decided it was time to commit to yoga teacher training. Recently completing her 200 RYT at Rising Wolf Yoga School she teaches all over town focusing on vinyasa flow, YIN and kids yoga. Mixing traditional postures with creative flow, focusing the mind and breathe for a fun, challenging experience.

Coatney Johnson (sub):

Coartney was born in Atlanta GA, and has been living in Nashville for four years. Coartney first started practicing yoga in 2017 after being introduced to a local studio by a friend. She fell so in love with the practice that she obtained her 200-hour Vinyasa Certification in 2020 as well as completing the 200-hour Hot 26 training in 2021. Coartney loves the Mind and Body connection that yoga has created in her everyday life and hopes to share this unity and love with others.
