CREATE was established in 1997 as UC San Diego's entity to support local K-12 outreach and college preparation efforts, specifically for students too often underrepresented in college.

In #USvsHate, students are invited to create public anti-hate messages in any media for their school communities. Our national challenge then amplifies student voices for a nationwide audience.

  • Teachers: You can submit up to five entries per class, per challenge! Our 2021-22 deadlines are December 17, 2021 and April 8, 2022. See our Submit page for a special call to action for our April 8 challenge!

Launched in late spring 2020, Climate Champions, based at UC San Diego, aspires to be a model for connecting K12, university, and community, ultimately in service of climate action and climate justice.

Computer Science Learning and Inquiring with Students through Equity Networks (CS LISTEN) is a youth participatory action research (YPAR) project that investigates the lack of diversity in K-12 computer science education.
