Limitless Spectrum - Gallery Reception

The Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center is a multi-purpose cultural space in the Southeast community of Newport News, Virginia.  At the core of the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center is the Ella Fitzgerald Theater, a 276-seat venue named for the “First Lady of Song,” who was born in Newport News in 1917.Originally built as the Walter Reed School, the historic building has been restored and open to the public since October 2008. The building houses several event spaces,  large/small group gathering rooms and is owned and operated by the City of Newport News, Parks, Recreation and Tourism department.

THE DEADLINE TO ENTER THE RAFFLE IS 12:00 PM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 11th. IF YOU MISS THE RAFFLE ENTRY, YOU CAN STILL ATTEND AS THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. 
In our first solo photography exhibit, Mr. Smarttguy pushes the boundaries of our visual vocabularies concerning the diffusion, absorption, and reflection of light. Using skin as his canvas and light as his brush, Mr. Smarttguy creates a "limitless spectrum". 
Join us in our Newport News Community Gallery on January 11, 2019 for the celebration of this exhibit, featuring the powerful fine art photography of Mr. Smarttguy. Meet the artist and learn more about his work and his creative process. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served and a raffle will be held. Registering to enter the raffle is appreciated but not required for entry.
