Class Overview

This virtual class provides 6 hours of FDACS approved training necessary to obtain the Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance Certification (LCLM) and provides a review for the Limited Lawn and Ornamental Certification (LLO).

This class is a review and a considered a compliment to your self-study. Study materials can be obtained at UF/IFAS Bookstore (see links below).

This event will be held online via Zoom*. Please be prepared to arrive at least 15 minutes (8:15AM) early to the class. The zoom link will be sent to the email used in the event registration the week of the class. Registration for this class will close on May 29th at 9:00AM.

To receive CEU credit, you must attend the full duration of the class. Attendance and participation will be verified. For CEU credit, each person needs to attend using their own electronic device.

Please note: This is a virtual class. The exams are NOT offered during this class. You must sign up to take your exams and make an appointment at your local county extension office or online through EverBlue.


Limited Certification for Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) -

License needed for those who apply pesticides in plant beds and shrubs on customer's properties. If this is the license you are seeking, you are required to attend both sessions for your total of 6 hours of FDACS approved training.

Limited Certification for Governmental and Private Applicators (LLO) -

Lawn & Ornamental - License needed for those who apply pesticides to government or business owned property.

CEUs Available:

CEUs 4-Hour (8:30a-12:30p) - 4 CEUs total / 2 Core 482 or 487; and 2 of any of the following: Pest Control Operator Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Limited Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Urban Fertilizer, Ornamental and Turf, or Private Ag.


CEUs 6-Hour Exam Review (8:30a-3:30pm) - 6 CEUs total / 2 Core 482 or 487; and 4 of any of the following: Pest Control Operator Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Limited Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Urban Fertilizer (2 CEUs max for LUF), Ornamental and Turf, or Private Ag.


Exams

We highly recommend taking this review and studying the applicable manuals before taking the LCLM and LLO exam. You must take this 6 hour class for the requirements of the LCLM license.

When you are ready to take the exam:

Apply to take the exam on the FDACS website, choose Structural/Residential Pest Control, Chapter 482. Upload any required insurance information, make payment for the exam/license fee and receive a voucher number that authorizes you to take the exam. Be sure you choose the correct exam for your job.

The exams are NOT offered during this class. You must sign up to take your exams and make an appointment at your local county extension office. Once you have your voucher number, you can make an appointment to take the exam at any county extension office or online with EverBlue here.
