Athens, Georgia native turned New Orleans FolkRockDiva, Lilli Lewis presents the final concert of the 2026/2027 HFAS series!
New Orleans singer/composer Lilli Lewis dissolves the distance between performer and audience. A classically trained pianist and opera singer, she brings a rare combination of musical discipline, emotional openness, and stylistic freedom to songs that move through folk, roots, soul, gospel, country, jazz, and rock without treating any of those traditions as fixed territory.
Lewis was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, where church music, classical study, and the city’s independent-rock culture all shaped her musical imagination. Since making New Orleans her home, she has continued to deepen that vocabulary through the city’s living traditions and through collaborations with artists ranging from Dirty Dozen Brass Band co-founder Kirk Joseph to traditional jazz clarinetist Dr. Michael White. Her work is grounded less in genre than in relationship: between musical languages, between history and the present, and between the people sharing a room.
Harstad Fine Arts Series is excited to bring you Lilli Lewis for our final concert of the season!
