About this event

Unique and always a sell-out, we are over the moon to bring Light in the Grove back after two years of creative re-envisioning!

Light in the Grove returns on the evening of November 30, as a tented, indoor magical celebration of Reunion, Remembrance, and Renewal in the National AIDS Memorial Grove. Held annually on the eve of World AIDS Day, it is our largest annual fundraising event, with all proceeds directly supporting the mission and programs of the National AIDS Memorial.

Please join us as a Host of this unique and inspiring experience, recognized, twice, as one of the Bay Area’s best LGBTQ+ community events since 2011!

Become a Host by October 15 to be listed in the Printed Invitation.

Light in the Grove is attended by over 600 guests yearly and was twice voted the best LGBT Gala in the Bay Area. Held on the eve of World AIDS Day, guests experience a moving candlelight reflection at the Circle of Friends, the heart of the Memorial, then walk through our spectacularly-illuminated Redwood Grove to a warmly-lit event tent. Inside, they enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, special musical guests and speakers, friendship, and lively conversation.

Don't miss this iconic San Francisco fundraising event!

This magical nighttime community reunion in nature, surrounded by light and art includes:

A champagne or sparkling beverage stroll, under the evening sky, through the magnificence of the magically-lit Grove

Beautifully illuminated pathways with brilliant, colorful light displays, imaginative artistic features, and enchanting dance and musical performances

Gourmet hors d'oeuvres, sweets, and beverage stations throughout the evening

Our traditional, moving candlelight reflection at the Circle of Friends

⟢ Sections of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, beautifully displayed

Inspirational reflections from featured guest speakers during a short program

Your support of Light in the Grove ensures our mission and programs of the National AIDS Memorial, which include the care of our beloved 10-acre National AIDS Memorial Grove and the 50,000 panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt.

All Hosts will be acknowledged in a special thank you in special media advertisements, in printed materials, online, and onsite.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support.
