Join Us for an Evening of Reflection, Healing, and Empowerment

On the poignant anniversary of becoming a widow, Nydia Evans invites you to a virtual gathering to honor the complex journey of love, loss, and liberation. "Light from Shadows" is not merely an event; it's a beacon for those navigating the murky waters of grief and the aftermath of abusive relationships, shining a light on the path towards healing and empowerment.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Keynote Address by Nydia Evans: A raw and moving narrative of her life with Terry Evans, exploring the duality of love and pain, and the resilience required to forge a new path.
  • Expert Panel Discussion - "Navigating Love, Loss, and Liberation": Featuring professionals and survivors sharing insights and strategies for healing and growth.
  • Virtual Candle Lighting Ceremony: A moment of collective remembrance and solidarity, honoring our loved ones and shared experiences.
  • Scripture Reading & Musical Interlude: Words of comfort and hope, paired with music that resonates with our journey towards light.

This event is for anyone who has experienced loss, is navigating the process of healing from abuse, or simply wishes to support and be part of a community embracing growth and empowerment. Together, we'll explore the beauty that can emerge from darkness, and the strength we can find in our most challenging moments.

Blessing Our Women is a NonProfit Organization bringing awareness to Domestic Violence. We strongly believe that every voice matters and every story counts...help us break the silence against domestic violence!

B.O.W. for a new beginning. We admire the survivors, honor those taken, and never give up hope on ending domestic violence! Everyday women are faced with the challenge of deciding whether to stay in an abusive relationship or leave. Often times they stay and it results in death. It's time to bring an end to this and save our sister's life.

B.O.W. Inc. is a New Orleans based organization whose Founder & CEO is a domestic violence survivor. Our vision is to bring awareness to others in a way to understand and provide support to the victim. Our mission is to empower, promote and support all women and their families. Our goal is to encourage and empower survivors through our annual luncheon and other activities. This is our first year. We will work with other organizations to help provide hope and healing and rebuild families.
