ERIC LAU is an alumnus of NYU's prestigious Graduate Film Program. He is also the president of Solar Productions (www.solarnyc.com), a full-service production company established 30 years ago, working on features films, documentaries, and has produced and directed many award-winning international TV commercials for Snapple, Toyota, China Unicom, and Blue Man Group among others.Hestarted a successful filmmaking workshop and summer camp for aspiring young filmmakers in 2009.His workshops have been endorsed by the 3-time Oscar winning director Ang Lee, who made Life of Pi, Brokeback Mountain, and Crouching Tiger."Eric's workshop should take you to a new level of excellence and open up great possibilities." "[Eric] sees through a camera with precision and great conviction." -ANG LEE, Director (Brokeback Mountain, Life of Pi)  This 2-Day Comprehensive Workshop explores visual storytelling with dynamic camera movement and skillful actor blocking.  Through extensive, daily hands-on exercises, participants will learn to visualize the scene, work with actors, strategize with storyboards, and evoke the essence of the script: DRAMA!  Participants want to learn how to visualize, choose optimal camera positions, camera movement, and lens choices in relation to actor blocking.
