Step into the exciting world of improv with our interactive workshop, "Discover the Magic of Improv." This two-hour in-person experience is specially designed for individuals who are curious about exploring the thrill of improv for the first time. Get ready to embark on a low-pressure, fun-filled adventure that will unleash your creativity, boost your confidence, and ignite your sense of playfulness.

Led by our experienced and supportive instructors, this workshop is tailored to provide a safe and welcoming environment where you can comfortably step outside your comfort zone. The journey begins with a boundary check-in, where we establish guidelines for respect, trust, and collaboration. Our skilled instructors will guide you through engaging improv warmups and games.

Through interactive exercises and guided improvisation, you'll discover the joy of working together, building on each other's ideas, and creating compelling scenes on the spot.

No prior experience in acting or improv is necessary. Whether you're seeking a fun and unique experience, a chance to improve your communication skills, or simply a break from everyday routine, "Discover the Magic of Improv" is the workshop for you!

About Your Instructors:

Brandin Bowden (he/him) "Brandin with an I" is a star on and off the improv stage! He performs with the local improv troupes Cakewalk and Scrapple in Baltimore and travels all over making people laugh. When he's not making things up on stage, he teaches groups how to work better together through improv—connecting to make work fun! Brandin's also into cooking up healthy food and snapping cool photos. He's all about bringing creativity into everything he does!

Jenny Kessler (she/her) has been practicing, performing, coaching, and facilitating improv since 2018. She is a brand strategist by day and a comedy goblin by night. She loves helping others experience the magic of play through improv, doing watercolor paintings when she travels, and exploring the DMV food scene. She's known for using big emotions on and off stage, and has experience with the Harold, Deconstruction, La Ronde, Montage, and Musical improv.
