Beginning at 8:00 a.m., participants can drop their watercraft off at River Park behind Billy Ray’s Restaurant, 101 N. Front Ave., Prestonsburg, KY 41653. Paddlefest participants then head to the Combs Airport to register and park your vehicle. This is where all will register and receive wristbands to participate in the paddle and lunch. Tickets, $15, include not only a fun paddle with old and new friends, but also offers a shuttle and catered lunch. Shuttles will be provided to transport you to the starting point at River Park and back from the water tower for those participating in the 16 mile paddle.
Following the river paddle, a delicious catered lunch will be served at the airport. From there, participants can enjoy the convenience of grabbing their watercraft and vehicle when finished. Bring your own kayak or rent one, whatever floats your boat!

Should I bring my own watercraft?

You can if you want to, however, you can also rent kayaks from Profitness & Jenny Wiley State Park. Which ever is easiest for you.

Do I need a life jacket?

Yes. Kentucky Law says that any person operating a Personal Watercraft is required to wear an approved life jacket.

When will lunch be served?

After 8.1 miles you will get out of the water, if you wish, and enjoy a nice lunch provided by one of our local restaurants .
