Shay Thompsonis the founder of Level Up Link Up. A video games presenter and host currently working in the games industry, Shay has worked for Xbox Interactive and Bafta. Interests include romancing alien squadmates, spending too much time in the character creation screen and trying to pet all the cats.

We're back at it again during London Games Week! If you find yourself in London for checking out the <A HREF="http://games.london" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">London Games Festival</A> then why not come down to Level Up Link Up and hear <A HREF="https://twitter.com/NareiceJWint" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nareice Wint</A> talk all things indie dev and get a hands-on look at her projects Switchblade and Pandora.
<A HREF="https://twitter.com/leveluplinkup" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Level Up Link Up</A> is a networking event open to all, helping to facilitate people of African and Caribbean heritage into the video games industry.
We're putting a spin on networking events as you know it while also making the industry a more diverse place.
We're here to give you tangible tips on breaking into the games industry. 
So, no matter where your interests lie: be it marketing, programming or simply just building your network, you're bound to get something out of Level Up Link Up.
Don't worry if you don't necessarily have a direct interest in the games industry; if you're into all things nerd focused you're sure to find a welcoming community.
Bring your business cards and ready your thumbs! Games such as Smash Bros and Mario Kart will be available - amongst others!
SPEAKER: Nareice Wint
Nareice has worked for Lucid Games as an Associate Producer for the past year and a half, helping produce Switchblade, a 5v5 vehicle MOBA. She also runs her own company in her spare time called <A HREF="https://www.pandorathevideogame.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Party Llama Games</A>. The team of 10 people is currently working on Pandora, an action-adventure episodic game based on the story Greek myth Pandora's Box.

FAQ: Do I have to be black to attend?
A: Not at all! While at its core, Level Up Link Up is a safe space for black people, the gaming industry at large has a lot to learn from events like these. We just want everyone to be kind to each other and employ a strict 'no scumbag' policy. If you're kind and care about inclusion we'd love to have you.
