Lumpen Radio, WLPN-LP, is Chicago’s newest FM radio station. WLPN-LP is operated by a community of curators, producers and DJs working to connect you with the music and ideas we think you will love. Our aim is to spotlight the hidden parts of the city, amplifying its voices and sounds. We’re here to promote an open media, unite communities, and magnify the hard work of artists, musicians, activists and cultural workers like you.WLPN is a project ofPublic Media Institute(PMI). PMI is a non-profit 501(c) 3, community based, art & culture organization located in the neighborhood of Bridgeport in the city of Chicago. PMI’s mission is to create, incubate, and sustain innovative cultural programming through the production of socially engaged projects, festivals, spaces, exhibitions, and media.

Level Eater 8.88...   The eighth-annual edition of the fantasy art and gaming event, Level Eater, takes place on January 20, 2018 from 7pm-Midnight at the Co-Prosperity Sphere!   Come play Dungeons & Dragons with some of Chicago’s great Dungeon Masters!   Everything you need to play is provided for the event — but bring cash for nosh, potions, raffle tickets and swag .  Doors open at 7PM.  Organized gaming begins at 8 PM runs till the stroke of Midnight!   Gather your friends and sign up for the table of your choosing. Each table is overseen by a great local Dungeon Master, ready to help you learn, re-learn, and play!   Every table plays the same sandbox-style adventure module. Undertake quests in the fantasy city of Portsbridge, while players at nearby tables do the same. Every quest you complete contributes to the defeat of a huge boss monster threatening the land. At midnight, there’s a reckoning. Each table rolls dice, based on the completed quests, to see if the boss monster can be driven away. Complete more quests to roll more dice. The more tables that complete the same quests, the better your chances of defeating the monster.   This year we also offer special VIP gaming packages for those parties that want a deluxe gaming experience. Featuring celebrity DMs and guests, like James D’Amato of the One Shot Podcast, Keith Baker, creator of the Eberron campaign world for D&D, Chris Funk of The Decemberists, and more! Only together can we save Portsbridge and defeat the forces of evil……..
