Overview
This regulated qualification provides the essential practical skills needed to respond to workplace emergencies.
This one day course is suitable for all those that work in a public facing role or in jobs that has the potential to be hazardous. This course will cover:
- First aider responsibilities
Consent, infection control and your role at an incident. - Assessing an incident
Scene survey, primary survey and calling for assistance. - Unresponsive casualties
CPR, recovery position and first aid for seizures.
Choking. - Recognising mild or severe choking and providing first aid.
External bleeding
Assessing severity and demonstrating effective control.
Shock - Recognising the signs and providing appropriate first aid.
Minor injuries
Cuts, grazes, bruises, splinters, burns and scalds.
