Let’s Talk! Hoops Against Hate
JOIN US for Hoops Against Hate, a powerful community event honoring Rodney Jimmy Lee and supporting our youth.
I never imagined I would have to live life without my son, Rodney Jimmy Lee. As a grieving mother, I turned my pain into purpose by creating RJ’s Way- an organization dedicated to supporting our youth and families while honoring his life.
On October 17, 2026, we invite you to join us at the Orangeburg Area YMCA for Hoops Against Hate, a powerful community event focused on healing, connection, and prevention.
This event creates a safe and supportive space for youth to express themselves, build peer support, and engage in positive activities. It also encourages open, honest conversations between parents and their children, because those conversations matter more than we sometimes realize.
Bullying, emotional struggles, and disconnection are impacting our youth every day. Through RJ’s Way, we are working to bring awareness, provide support, and remind our community that no one has to face these challenges alone.
The event is open to:
- Parents and caregivers
- Youth of all ages
- Volunteers and community advocates
💙Special Tribute: We will honor mothers and father’s who have experienced the loss of a child- no matter the age. Your strength, your love, and your journey matter.
Come be a part of something meaningful. Come support, connect, and help us continue Rodney Jimmy Lee’s legacy!
