Seattle IT Japanese Professionals (SIJP) はその名の通りSeattleを拠点に活動をするNon-Profit Organization (NPO) で、当初はシアトルのIT関係の仕事に勤めている方や、IT業界に興味のある方への交流の場を提供するための会として設立されました。現在でも交流の場の提供という目的は変わりありませんが、2015年にNPOとしての認可を頂いた後は、シアトルのコミュニティ及び、日米の将来を担う若い人材の育成に貢献できるよう力を注いでおります。SIJPがNPOとして活動できているのは、全ては支援してくださっている皆様のおかげであり、SIJPスタッフ一同心より感謝しております。今後とも皆様の応援の程、宜しくお願い申し上げます。＊なお当会では、営業目的のみの参加はお断りしております。

<H2>Let's learn Binary Number!</H2>
Have you ever thought about how different the world your child will grow up would be? Technology is growing at a fast rate, why not let your child get a headstart. Come join us to engage your child in the first steps to computer science. We will be learning the binary number system, the basis of computer science, using the provided special gloves. Kids from Japan will join us using livestream.
Place: Yotsubagakuin（655 156th Ave SE Bldg. A #290　Bellevue, WA 98007）
Time: 4/27  5:30PM - 7:00PM (Snack will be provided)

Kids: 8 and up
What to bring:
Tablet (preferred) or Computer*

今回のテーマはBinary Number（2進数）です。
コンピュータはどんなに難しい計算でも、あっという間に計算をしてくれます。
皆さんはコンピュータがどのように難しい計算をしているか知っていますか？ 実は、すべての数や情報を０と１だけで表しているんです。 電波に乗ってスマートフォンに届くメッセージも、すべて０と１だけで送られています。
では、いったいどうすれば０と１だけで情報を表せるんでしょう？ その秘密はBinary Number（2進法）という数の表し方にあります。
