About the Instructor

Ellen has been growing and cooking since age two. Raised by a gardener and drawn to the kitchen, she loves her chief job at Dancing Turtle- growing and preparing food! She aims to make healthy fresh food available year-round in the Ithaca area through her wholesale sales, farmers market booth and salad csa.

Since 2008, Dancing Turtle has been rinsing, dehulling and scooping thousands of pounds of seed. Practice makes fun! Ellen also loves teaching and loves to share the joys and benefits- both economic and nutritional - of sprouting to her community.
