Let's End Poverty

Join the Let’s End Poverty Founding Assembly on 14th October to build the movement towards ending poverty in the UK.

Location: Online or in Manchester, Liverpool, London, Nottingham, Cambridge, Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff and Glasgow Saturday 14th October11am – 1pm Poverty is a solvable, avoidable problem – and continuing to avoid solving it is a deliberate political choice. But we believe that this can change. Come together on 14 October to call for a future where poverty can’t keep anyone down.At Let&#x27;s End Poverty Assembly gatherings across the UK we’ll explore: <ul><li>How we can organise and mobilise our communities to move tackling poverty higher up the political agenda.</li><li>How we can build community conversations that bring lived experience, expertise and practical solutions together to set the roadmap towards ending poverty in the UK. </li><li>How you can play your part in building momentum in your networks and community ahead of the next General Election.</li></ul>

Find a location close to you, or join us online. The Assembly will take place in regional gatherings in towns and cities across the UK, where together we’ll hear about the energy behind the movement, and take part in planning the next steps. When you sign up you can choose which location to attend. You can also choose to join us online, where you’ll also have the chance to meet with people who live in a similar area to you.

We need our political leaders to step up, take responsibility and take action to tackle poverty and everything that locks people in it – the rising cost of living, poor quality work, inequalities in education and health, racial injustice, an inadequate social security system, and the lack of affordable, decent quality homes, and so much more.That’s why we’re building a movement of people across the UK taking action to show that ending poverty matters to our communities and we want our political leaders to make it their priority too. You’re invited to join us on 14th October for the Let’s End Poverty founding assembly, when we’ll gather together for the first time to begin to build the movement.

Need some help with travel costs? If you’d like to join a gathering but need some help with your travel costs to make this possible, indicate this when you register and we’ll get in touch. We’re pleased to be able to offer some support to people in receipt of welfare support or on a low income to support you to join in. If you’d like to offer a donation to help make this support possible, you can choose this option when you book a ticket.
