Location: 901 G St NW

Join us for a night of glitz, glamour, and entertainment as we unveil the highly anticipated film, Let’s Be Honest. The Let’s Be Honest docuseries explores Black Christian women’s personal stories of navigating their faith and mental health. In recent years, mental health awareness has been more accessible than ever, however, in different church communities, there are still hesitations, skepticism, guilt, groupthink pressures or stigmas about seeking quality professional mental health services as a follower of Jesus. The purpose of this docuseries is to highlight how mental health awareness is understood and accessed in the context of church settings, by giving voice to three women’s experience navigating the relationship between their mental health and their faith.

This docu series is a collaboration between Psybriety, a local Washington D.C. area non-profit that is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness through visual arts, and Fearless Voice Media, a social venture focused on creating music and stories that inspire positive change.

After the screening, there will be a Q&A moderated by Claudia Allen.
