About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

This June, renowned designer Ajani XYZ transforms the Bed-Stuy Art House with his latest pop-up concept store. But this isn't your average shopping experience. The space becomes the stage for an immersive solo performance that unfolds within the unique creations of the Ajani XYZ universe.

"Let Me Check In The Back" throws out the rulebook for performance. Through a blend of performance art, sketch comedy, and multimedia elements, the line between reality and narrative blur. This immersive experience delves into Black gay identity and the power of self-love, offering a unique and potentially surprising experience.

Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 7:30pm.

This work was made possible, in part, by the Franklin Furnace FUND 2023-24, supported by SHS Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the members and friends of Franklin Furnace Archive.
