About this event

  • 5 hours

The BIT Center (formerly Italian Cultural Center of Maryland) in collaboration with Civic Works is celebrating Leonardo Da Vinci by giving you and three friends the opportunity to build one of Da Vinci’s brilliantly designed self-supporting bridges.

You and your team could even win one of two $1,000 grand prizes!

Register your team of four students for Middle School and High School and get ready to have some fun, friendly competition to determine who has engineering skills worthy of the Italian Renaissance.

No experience is required!

Just a team of four students eager to enjoy a good time building up with 2 x 4 lumber boards.

The bridges will be judged according to categories of speed, accuracy, and appearance.

Each division will produce a $1,000 grand prize winner!

Registration Fee for a Team of Four: $50 (scholarships available - please contact us for details)
