About this event
Lemonade Day is a free, community-wide, educational initiative designed to teach children how to start, own, and operate their own business - a lemonade stand.
During the five hour Lemonade Day University (Lemon U) workshop, we will conduct an overview of the lessons for our young entrepreneurs to start thinking about the logistics of their business, along with branding.
Duane Shaw, our very own Lemonade Day National Youth Entrepreneur of the Year, will be our event keynote speaker and provide tips and tricks on his sweet success!
Please note that this is a drop-off event. Upon arrival, you will sign a waiver for your youth entrepreneur to attend Lemon U, attend a brief parent/mentor presentation, and arrive back for our graduation ceremony.
Participants for Lemon U will need to be ages 6 and up. Lunch will be provided for youth participants and they will also receive a free Lemonade Day t-shirt.
The lessons will be presented to you by Net Impact from Central Texas College.

Registering for this event indicates your consent for your child to be photographed.
Frequently asked questions
Lemonade Day University will be held at the Central Texas College Mayborn Science Theater (6200 W Central Texas Expy., Killeen, TX 76548, Building 267, Killeen, TX 76549). Once you arrive, Lemonade University will be located to the double doors on the left of the building under the Lemon U banner.
Parking is located in front of the building. Parking is allowed for this event in spaces where “RESERVED” spots are shown. Additional parking is available near Academic Drive.
You do not need to arrive early for registration for the event. We will be having registration between 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. To make the registration process go smoothly, please ensure that your youth participant(s) is registered for Lemonade Day on our website at lemonadeday.org/fort-cavazos-area
Lemonade Day University will be the full time of 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We will have activity stations throughout the day for the youth participants to enjoy and learn all about the Lemonade Day program.
No, your child does not need to bring anything for Lemonade Day University. We will have all materials available at our stations.
After registration for the event, there will be a 15 minute presentation from our Lemonade Day City Director for parents and mentors to gain helpful information for the Lemonade Day program.
We will have forms available for parents and mentors to fill out during registration to drop off their child for the event. Please keep your phone nearby in case we need to contact you for any questions.
At the end of Lemonade Day University, each youth participant will go through a graduation ceremony to celebrate their success from the day. We will have two separate groups for graduation based on age group. Please arrive back by 12:50 p.m. so you don't miss the ceremony!
Unfortunately, we can only allow for 75 total youth participants at this event for full capacity. If our event is full, you can join our waitlist and will contact you if a spot opens up.
