Welcome to the first annual Lehigh Valley's Funniest competition. We are inviting comedians from all over PA, NJ, and beyond to come and compete. The top three comedians will win money and guaranteed work at the Emmaus Theatre, while all comics will be seen by the bookers of the Emmaus Theatre and Wisecrackers Comedy Club in the Poconos.
The prize money breakdown is as follows:
- 1ST PLACE: $700
- 2ND PLACE: $200
- 3RD PLACE: $100
All comedians will receive guaranteed work at the theater.
The entrance fee for the contest is $25. The time limits for each round are as follows:
- 5 mins for the 1st Round
- 8 mins for the 2nd Round
- 12 mins for the 3rd Round
- 15 mins for the Finals
The dates for the first round are as follows: June 6th, June 13th, June 20th, June 27th, July 18th, and July 25th.
The dates for the second and third rounds are tentative: August 15th, August 29th, September 5th, September 12th, September 19th, and October 3rd.
Possible dates for the Finals are: October 6th, October 10th, October 17th, and October 20th.
All rounds will be a combination of audience votes and judges' scores.
